Who runs Tornby Strand Camping?

Tornby Strand Camping is privately owned and operated by Tove and Morten Jensen. They purchased the site in 2011 and have continuously renovated and improved the site, units, cabins and buildings. Today, the site has the best facilities in the area. 

The place was founded in 1964 by the Kihl family. In the early 1980s, the Svendsen family came and owned the place for a short period.

1986-2001 Hakon and Anni Nielsen from Aarhus.

2002-2010 Pernille and Poul Erik Kjær from Zealand. 2010 leased to local.

2011 – The owners of Tornby Strand Camping are today Tove Richard Jensen and Morten Møller Jensen.

Morten is from North Jutland and grew up in Højene in Hjørring. Store manager in DIY stores in, among others, Bygma in Hjørring, Sindal and Bindslev.

Calm

Calma is our new camping dog in 2023

We have a new camping dog in June 2023. Calma is a lovely Giant Schnauzer girl who comes from Kennel Perlestad Riesen in Norway. She was born 18.4.2023

Calma looks forward to meeting many guests at the campsite and at reception.

Roland Sørensen - Groundsman -Tornby Strand Camping

Roland

Grass cutting, site maintenance, construction, repairs...it's the regular site man Roland who does it all. Roland is an old craftsman. Roland is employed all year round, but not as many hours in the winter.

If Morten says we did something, it means Roland did it. : )

Helle

You will meet Helle at the reception. Heller is our regular help at the reception, summer and winter.

Cleaning

We often need new helpers in our cleaning. If you are a student and want to earn a little extra, we need extra help cleaning cabins and buildings on weekends, holidays and during the summer holidays.

Store employees

In the Spring, Summer holidays and the beginning of August we have 4-6 young people under 18 to help in the store.
